Boneyard Effects, Larry Bones,

2006 - I worked as a sculptor, painter and mold technician
in the lab at Boneyard Effects. We were busy making monsters
for Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. A live show
where the lights are turned off in the park and audience
members mingle with monsters, lunatics and zombies. During
the event I worked as a prosthetics makeup artist. -

Prosthetic Application - London After Midnight, Punk Zombie,
The Shaver
|
One
of the fun things about this job was the speed with which
we had to apply the full face prosthetics. We had 15 minutes
to apply and paint each prosthetic. Just to give you a frame
of reference, an hour is usually considered speedy for this
kind of work. One night I made up an actor up in 8 minutes.
Filming
Tecumseh kept me out of the lab this year but I will be
back applying makeup for HHN 2007 in October. I'll be going
to beat my personal best ...maybe 7 minutes.
